Translucent Screen Door
7/24/20, 11/29/20
Life is meant as an open whole,
But some come with a translucent screen door.
It blocks the flies,
but the sunny skies;
Leaving half the air
for ones still trying
to feel alive.
It can be taken off
with great retaliation and luck.
But it can latch back on,
with nobody left to deduct.
Repairman costs
the head of a buck,
Whose head I've locked
in the trunk of my truck.
Lying in the garage,
indulged in demise.
Crying in the dark,
divulged in goodbyes.
Feeling more than what I have in store,
Keeping every latch controlled to my core
I know life is meant as an open whole,
But some come with
a translucent screen door.
